Quiet Entertainer (that’s me) is a DJ/Producer that blends ambient electronica with hip-hop. I’m based in Nashville, TN.

When we profiled Cafe Coco hip-hop clique a few months back, we made that bold proclamation that local DJ/producer Quiet Entertainer’s next record would be the joint that brought the whole crew out of the back room. We’re proud to say that the newly released Machismo EP is exactly what we were hoping for. Combining QE’s breathy, ethereal beats with some of the best rhymes yet from local MCs like James Fate and J Prodigal, Machismo sets a new standard for the city’s avant-rap scene. Standout tracks include “Our Time” with E.T. and “Blogworthy” the theme song for QE’s monthly new music showcase, and an all-star throwdown featuring an undeniably bouncy bass line and tight, tight verses from Bobby Exodus, Spoken Nerd, and The Billy Goats.
